Today, on our YouTube channel, we show you how to assemble an ELV lifting tower, specifically ELV-300/6, and how to install a truss with the AC-533 accessory. This tower is ideal for assembling indoor events in narrow places, thanks to its tilting plates that lean completely on any surface, even walls or steps!

The ELV Series consists of telescopic lifting towers made of steel and compatible with a multitude of accessories: AC-502, AC-504, AC-506, AC-507, AC-508, AC-533, AC-534, AC-535, AC-567B, AC-568, AC-570, AC-590 and AC-591.

It differs from the MEGARA Series in that the ELV lifting towers incorporate a leg system composed of tensors to adjust the inclination of the legs and stabilizing plates that adapt to any surface, including walls or steps, thanks to the versatility of their movements, giving the tower complete support and therefore greater stability. This leg system makes the ELV Series towers perfect for indoor and narrow places.

Its assembly and installation of the truss to the tower is very simple as well as for all of the ELV Series towers, except for the ELV-100/31, for which in a few weeks we will dedicate a video in particular. The steps to follow shown in the video are the following:

Extension and leveling of the legs

  • To begin, remove the pin from the foot cap, lower the legs and extend them parallel to the floor, surface or wall to which you want to install them, adjusting the tilting plate to the surface.
  • Put the pin and the R back into the hole.
  • To finish this step, turn the adjusting tensor until the tower is fully leveled and stabilised.

Truss lifting

  • We place the accessory for lifting the truss in the last bar of the tower. In this case we used the accessory AC-533, an "H"-shaped support for 29cm truss.
  • Open the accessory clamps and place the truss on top. Once we have the truss in the desired position, we close the clamps and turn the knobs to ensure a good grip.

Safety pin, raising and locking

  • Once the truss is in place, remove and turn the safety pin of the last bar to the lifting position.
  • Turn the crank of the winch to raise the bar to the desired position.
  • Once the bar is where we want it to be, we place the safety pin again to the locking position.
  • Repeat this step with all the bars until you reach the desired height.
  • To lower the tower, simply reverse these steps, always starting with the last bar that has been raised.

In this video we have shown how to attach a truss to the tower, but the telescopic towers can also be used to raise lighting and sound equipment. For example, with the new "C" telescopic support AC-567B, we can raise smaller line-array systems.
