In February, FENIX Stage’s Export Manager, Mr. Alex Bryan, travelled to Sofia to visit Nu Boyana Film Studios, "the infrastructure that they have for broadcast is impressive and beautiful. It’s like you were visiting different cities at the same time. And with the new water tank, they can reach a higher level as nobody can in Europe” he said.

Nu Boyana Film Studios is one of the biggest and well-known broadcast studios in Europe with headquarters in Burbank, LA (USA). They are owned by one of the longest-running independent film companies in Hollywood, Nu Image and Millennium Films, and over the years they have serviced hundreds of feature films, including big-budget movies like Criminal, The Expendables 1, 2 and 3, London Has Fallen, 300: The Rise Of An Empire, The Black Dahlia, Killing Season, Conan, The Way Back and Kon-Tiki. Recently, they have opened a new studio with the largest water tank for shooting in Europe with 1200sqm. The facility is managed by their diving coordinator Mr. Ian Creed with a background in movies like Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Angel Has Fallen, The Hitman's Bodyguard and many more.

This company also works with important events, like the Yoga Festival in Bulgaria, the most important yoga meeting in Europe.

Since 2009, FENIX Stage is working with Nu Boyana Film Studios, providing them all kind of trusses in size and configuration, stage platforms and lifting towers for the installations of their studios. At the beginning, FENIX Stage started providing them standard products but, after some years, it began to supply them custom-projects and special developments as FENIX Stage platforms with 5 legs.

FENIX Stage has equipped 4 of their 12 studios. The latest was the studio No.12, the Nu Boyana’s biggest studio with 2000sqm. They installed 9 trussing grids of 12x12m suspended from the ceiling, composed of FENIX SQ-29 and SQR-29 trusses with a circular truss of 40x40 with 12m diameter. The launching of this large studio has been used to shoot the film “Brahmastra”, an upcoming 2019 Indian Hindi-language superhero fantasy film, directed by Mr. Ayan Mukerji and produced by Mr. Karan Johar.
